Poonam Thakur brings nearly two decades of rich experience to the communications industry, marked by numerous accolades and a fervent dedication to data-driven storytelling for driving social impact. With a robust skill set encompassing PR & media relations, industry advocacy, digital strategy, change management, employer branding, and crisis management, she has left an indelible mark in sectors such as the internet, e-commerce, and consumer tech.

Prior to joining Prosus Ventures in 2021, Poonam Thakur accumulated valuable experience with renowned companies including American Express and Bharti Airtel Limited. Additionally, she has served in key leadership positions including Head of PR and Social Media at MakeMyTrip and Head of Corporate Communications at OYO.

Poonam received her Post Graduate Diploma In Advertising and Public Relations from the Indian Institution of Mass Media in 2004.
