Nikhil Chopra was appointed CEO & Whole Time Director of JB Pharma on October 5, 2020 to transform business and steer its vision 2026. 

A business leader with over twenty years of experience, he has a consistent record of sustainable growth and shareholder value creation. With a hawks’ eye vision of the pharma sector globally, he has driven JB Pharma to become the fastest growing company among the top 25 with 19.5% growth as compared to IPM growth at 6.5%, for the second consecutive year. His leadership style is all about bringing the right people together to turn problems into opportunities. 

For over two decades, he has spearheaded breakthrough ideas focused on creating greater access to high quality treatment and medicines, and gained a significant competitive advantage over peers, especially in therapies such as Respiratory, Urology, HIV, and Paediatric Care. He has been instrumental in navigating 4 inorganic acquisitions in 15 months for progressive therapies like heart failure, probiotics and cardiac care. JB Pharma is now among the top 10 players in cardiology therapy in the Indian pharmaceutical market through his aggressive strategy. 

As a catalyst driving change, he has always thrust ‘Beyond The Pill’ marketing in Indian Pharmaceutical Industry, which involved organic and inorganic phygital initiatives to enhance patient awareness, education, diagnosis and adherence. Nikhil’s other expertise areas of interest include digitalisation of the pharma field force and engagement with doctors, nurturing talent and creating cross-functional collaborations.  

He was previously associated with Cipla Limited as the CEO-India Business for 24 years. Nikhil is a gold medallist from Gujarat University’s School of Science, and has a master’s degree in Organic Chemistry.
