Prof. (Dr.) S. Vijayalakshmi
She received her Master’s Degree in Commerce in (1986), and a Doctorate Degree in Commerce and Management, in (1994) from Andhra University. She started her career in the Department of Finance at ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education as a Faculty Member in 2001, and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2009, and became a professor in 2016, She Worked as Area Head from 2012- 2014(two years). And she was promoted to Dean in 2014. She is also the Convener of CWD Centre for Women Development IFHE -2015.
Prof. S. Vijayalakshmi is a dynamic academician with 30 years of teaching experience in Accounting and Finance for Undergraduate, Graduate and Ph. D. students.
She has published close to 30 research papers in reputed journals and has presented papers in national and international conferences etc. She has guided several PG and Ph.D. scholars in the field of Finance & Management.
She was awarded “The Women in Education Award” for the year 2016 and 2019, by Business School Affaire & Dewang Mehta National Education Awards. The award is given to women leaders in recognition for their extraordinary work and achievements in academics. She Organized the International Conference on Business and Finance in 2014 – Conference Chair.
She visited several international universities, such as Carnegie Mellon University, University of Pittsburgh, Northern Illinois University, The University of Chicago, etc. in USA for academic and research purposes. She also visited Argonne National Laboratory in USA.
She Interacted with a few professors in US Universities who work in area of environmental and Women’s studies to know the best practices followed by these reputed Universities.
She is a member of various boards and committees of the University. Being a Senior Faculty Member and recognizing her rich teaching and administrative experience. She assumed the charge as the Registrar of ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE), Hyderabad in July 2017 till date. She has worked on projects related women old age, women safety, women and digitization, women and water.
