Gina Dirawi is a Swedish television presenter, comedian, author, and singer of Palestinian descent. She was born on December 11, 1990, in Sundsvall, Sweden. Dirawi first gained public attention through her satirical YouTube videos, where she humorously discussed social and political issues.

Her breakthrough came in 2012 when she became the main host of Melodifestivalen, Sweden’s national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. She has since hosted the show multiple times and has presented various other Swedish TV programs, including Musikhjälpen and Idol.

Beyond television, Dirawi has pursued music and writing. She released her debut single Love in 2016 and has explored genres like pop and electronic music. In 2020, she published her first novel, Paradiset ligger under mammas fötter, which was well received for its exploration of identity and cultural expectations.

Dirawi is known for challenging stereotypes and discussing topics such as racism, feminism, and religion in Sweden. She has received several awards for her contributions to Swedish media and culture. Despite facing backlash at times, she remains an influential voice in Swedish entertainment and public discourse.
