Ms. Akiko Okumura was appointed Executive Vice President of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in August 2025.  

Previously, she served as the Director responsible for HR system transformation at the HR Department of JETRO. 

Ms. Okumura joined JETRO in 1990 after graduating from Tsukuba University, Bachelor of Arts in Sociology,  

Completed undergraduate studies in the First Cluster of Colleges, specializing in Sociology. She has a rich experience in HR section. Her previous local posting was JETRO Nagano(2013-2019), and overseas posting was JETRO Budapest (2019-2021).
