Dr. Amruta Joshi is a technology executive with 20 years experience, building and scaling enterprise and consumer products like Google Cloud, Ads, Search, and Chrome. Her domain expertise is in Data Science and she is passionate about empowering people and elevating lives with responsible use of AI.  

Amruta is currently the Managing Director for Ads Solutions Platform Engineering. Previously she was leading the AI Platform & Solutions for Google Cloud, advising Fortune 500 and startup companies to transform their business through Cloud technology and AI-focused innovation. She also serves in an advisory role at Google for Startups and Startups for Sustainable Development. Prior to Google Cloud, she was focused on Google’s core consumer businesses, accelerating adoption for Ads Publisher Platform and driving go-to-market strategies for Search and Chrome. Her global experience includes living and working in the US and India, and she has managed US and Asia-Pacific focused businesses.  

Amruta earned a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Stanford University and a PhD from UCLA specializing in Data Science and Information Retrieval. She has several patents and publications to her credit and has served as a program committee member and reviewer at top tier international computer science conferences.
