Mr Rajendra Kumar is an IRSE officer of 1983 batch.  He worked as Executive Director and Director/ Way and Works/ Konkan Railway for USBRL Project. Mr Rajendra Kumar took lot of initiative action to expedite the progress of USBRL Project. 

When took over as Executive Director/ USBRL Project the annual Financial Progress of USBRL Project was Rs 330 crore. Due to his initiative most of the issues regarding design approval were solved and momentum to the project was achieved specially for iconic Chenab Bridge, Anji Khad Brigade and other important bridges. During his tenure the Financial Progress was jumped from Rs 330 crore to Rs 1200 crore within a span of four years which is almost four times.  For his excellent achievements for USBRL project he was awarded three consecutive years by the highest award by Konkan Railway.
