Promoter Director of Gujarat Agro Infrastructure Mega Food Park – an Industrial Park with exclusive focus on Food Processing & Preservation; built under the Mega Food Park scheme of Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Govt. of India. The Mega Food Park is designed as a world-class industrial hub for food & agro-processing, contributing directly to the mission of doubling farmers’ income and enhancing agri value chain.

Have personally steered this Mega Food Park into one of the most successful one in the country; out of a total 41 MFPs in India, attracting food processing investments more than double the Government of India ’s benchmark criteria, and helped create substantial employment opportunities in our Tribal area.

• Promoted and led the conceptualization, development, and scaling of one of India’s most successful Mega Food Parks under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MOFPI).
• Steered the project from land acquisition and approvals to full operationalization as a world-class food & agro-processing industrial hub.
• Achieved food processing investments at more than 2X the Government benchmark, placing the Park as one of the top performers nationally; out of the 41 MFPs.
• Built integrated infrastructure including processing units, cold chain, warehousing, logistics, and common facilities to support value-added food processing.
• Enabled strong farmer–industry linkages, improving agri value chains and contributing to the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s objective of doubling farmers’ income.
• Led stakeholder coordination across central and state governments, financial institutions, anchor investors, and processing units.
• Oversaw governance, compliance, and long-term strategic planning to ensure sustainability and scalability of the Park.

With 30+ years as a serial entrepreneur, my entrepreneurial journey includes:

• Power Transmission/Distribution – including one of the sector’s most successful exits.
• Warehousing – early mover in structured warehousing of agricultural products in India.
• Technology & Telecom – early and serial investor in tech start-ups since year 2001, guided various boards to successful exits.
• Distribution – Watches & other products.

In parallel, I contribute to Gujarat’s Industry & Policy Making:

• Senior Vice President, Federation of Gujarat Industries (FGI) – Gujarat’s premier industries association with a 107 years’ legacy.
• Member, Gujarat State Electricity Supply Code Review Panel (ESCRP) -Contributing to shaping the State’s energy policy. Established by Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC); the ESCRP considers compliance by Electricity Utilities, consumer interests and operational issues as well as reviews, monitors, and recommends amendments to the State Electricity Supply Code.

 Has been a speaker at National/ State events on Food Processing, article published in ‘Agriculture Today’.
