Dr. Pankaj Agarwal

Dr. Pankaj Agarwal is a cleantech expert, entrepreneur and investor with over 20 years’ experience in financing, business development and commercialization of new technologies and innovation. His recent ventures combine innovative business models with solar PV, wind energy, energy storage and smart grids to deliver Smart Energy and e-mobility. He is a member of Business Angels Club (BACL), Liechtenstein and Swiss ICT Investor Club (SICTIC).
He is the founder and CEO of Panitek Green Ventures, a venture builder, based in Liechtenstein, Switzerland and India and active in the field of cleantech, new materials and deployment of new and sustainable technologies in India. In 2007 he co-founded and was the CEO of Indian Energy Limited, an India focused renewable energy IPP which listed on the London Stock Exchange (AIM) in 2009 and was acquired by an infrastructure company in 2011.
Pankaj has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from University of Florida, Gainesville, MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management and B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India. He worked as a research scientist at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne. Pankaj has published over 40 papers in International Journals has contributed to books and magazines and holds 1 patent. He is regularly invited to speak at international conferences and events. He has been a guest lecturer at University of St. Gallen, University of Applied Sciences, Winterthur and North West Switzerland School of Applied Sciences, Olten Switzerland.
Pankaj is the founder and president of India Club in Liechtenstein e.V. a not-for-profit organization, based in Vaduz, Liechtenstein with the objective of bringing together the diverse cultures of India, the traditional as well as the contemporary, with Liechtenstein and the Rheinthal region. In 2015 the club initiated “India week in Liechtenstein” with the support of Indian Embassy in Bern and Liechtenstein government in 2015 which has now become an annual event.
An Indian national, Pankaj has lived, studied and worked in India, USA, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Germany and is now settled in Liechtenstein.
