Sumiit is a media professional with almost 12 years of experience in TV & Live Shows Anchoring, Voicing and Managing Events along with Conceptualising, Scripting and Producing branded content shows for television.

Born & raised in Mumbai, his path to the media industry included getting a business degree and working for many years in his family owned business of home linen exports, which has added to his understanding of the business space in India and the world.

An accomplished leader with over 25 years of senior management experience across diverse sectors.Currently serving as the Chairman and Chief Executive of the Export Development Board of Sri Lanka and the Fomer Chief Operating Officer at Brown & Company PLC, with a proven track record of transforming loss-making ventures into profitable enterprises.Expertise lies in managing complex business operations and driving strategic initiatives to achieve operational excellence. Leadership experience spans sectors including Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, Consumer Electronics, Integrated Engineering Products, Lubricants, and Telecommunications, with extensive experience managing a global network of international suppliers, ensuring efficiency and profitability.

Barkha had a cameo in Ektaa R Kapoor’s ‘The Sabarmati Report’ film, where she plays the love interest of Vikrant Massey. She is a pioneer in digital content, having gained fame early on with relatable web series and evolving with the OTT space from YouTube. She’s received acclaim for her roles in projects like “Maja Ma” alongside Madhuri Dixit, “Engineering Girls,” “Girls On Top,” and “Please Find Attached.”  ⁠Recently, she has also announced her upcoming project “Lafangey” with Amazon miniTV and has more releases planned.  Barkha was also officially appointed to go and support Indian athletes at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
