Dr Arunabha Ghosh is an internationally recognised public policy expert, author, columnist, and institution builder. He is the founder-CEO of the Council on Energy, Environment and Water, and has led CEEW to the top ranks as one of Asia’s leading policy research institutions and among the world’s 20 best climate think-tanks. He played a formative role in creating the International Solar Alliance, and was a founding board member of the Clean Energy Access Network. Co-author/editor of four books and with experience in 53 countries, he previously worked at Princeton, Oxford, UNDP (New York), and WTO (Geneva). The Asia Society honoured him with the 2022 Asia Game Changer Award, for his and CEEW’s “incredible work, which is making a real difference for India and for the planet”.

Arunabha advises governments, industry, civil society, and international organisations around the world. In October 2024, the Government of India appointed him to the Commission for Air Quality Management. He currently co-chairs the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on the Energy Nexus (and previously co-chaired the GFC on Clean Air). He served on Government of India’s G20 Finance Track Advisory Group and advised the Sherpa Track for India’s G20 Presidency in 2022-23. In 2022, the UN Secretary-General appointed him to the High-level Expert Group on the Credibility and Accountability of Net-Zero Announcements by Non-State Actors. In 2020, the Government of India appointed him Co-Chair of the energy, environment and climate change track for India’s Science, Technology and Innovation Policy (STIP2020).

Dr Ghosh is currently Vice-Chair of the UN Committee for Development Policy, having been first nominated to the UNCDP by the UN Secretary-General in 2018. He co-convened the Our Common Air Commission. He is a member of several international expert advisory groups: Global Commission on the Economics of Water; High-Level Group of Economists, constituted by the French president for the One Planet Lab; and the Senior Consultative Group for the U.S. Department of State’s Energy Transition Accelerator. He sits on the Oversight Committee of the Exploring Climate Cooling Options programme of the UK’s Advanced Research and Invention Agency. He serves on the Board of ClimateWorks Foundation.

A frequent speaker and adviser to governments, industry and international organisations, he writes monthly columns across various platforms, has hosted or featured in several documentaries, and his 2019 TED Talk on air quality (Mission 80-80-80) has crossed 270,000 views. He was a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader. He holds a D.Phil. from Oxford.

Her efforts brought coding into the primary school curriculum of Luxembourg. She was awarded Inspiring Fifty Women in Tech Belgium in 2022. Dr. Pankaj Agarwal is a cleantech expert, entrepreneur and investor with over 20 years’ experience in financing, business development and commercialization of new technologies and innovation.  His recent ventures combine innovative business models with solar PV, wind energy, energy storage and smart grids to deliver Smart Energy and e-mobility.  He is a member of Business Angels Club (BACL), Liechtenstein and Swiss ICT Investor Club (SICTIC).

He is the founder and CEO of Panitek Green Ventures, a venture builder, based in Liechtenstein, Switzerland and India and active in the field of cleantech, new materials and deployment of new and sustainable technologies in India. In 2007 he co-founded and was the CEO of Indian Energy Limited, an India focused renewable energy IPP which listed on the London Stock Exchange (AIM) in 2009 and was acquired by an infrastructure company in 2011.

Pankaj has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from University of Florida, Gainesville, MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management and B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India. He worked as a research scientist at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne. Pankaj has published over 40 papers in International Journals has contributed to books and magazines and holds 1 patent. He is regularly invited to speak at international conferences and events. He has been a guest lecturer at University of St. Gallen, University of Applied Sciences, Winterthur and North West Switzerland School of Applied Sciences, Olten Switzerland.

Pankaj is the founder and president of India Club in Liechtenstein e.V. a not-for-profit organization, based in Vaduz, Liechtenstein with the objective of bringing together the diverse cultures of India, the traditional as well as the contemporary, with Liechtenstein and the Rheinthal region. In 2015 the club initiated “India week in Liechtenstein” with the support of Indian Embassy in Bern and Liechtenstein government in 2015 which has now become an annual event.

An Indian national, Pankaj has lived, studied and worked in India, USA, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Germany and is now settled in Liechtenstein.

Kalki Subramaniam is an Indian transgender activist, artist, writer and actor. She is also a renowned international speaker. Kalki is the founder of Sahodari Foundation, an organization which works for the social and economic empowerment and upliftment of the Transgender people in India.

Kalki has done tremendous work towards inclusion of transgender people in India. She has sensitized about transgender rights and issues to more than a million students across India and is known for her relentless and fierce activism for establishing social justice and equality for transgender people in India and around the world.

She was one of the prominent Indian activists who advocated and lobbied behind the recognition of legal rights for transgender people by the Supreme court of India in 2014 which is considered a landmark victory for the transgender community in India.

Through Sahodari Foundation, she offers free workshops for transgender people and promotes their artworks and supports their livelihood. More than 500 transgender people have attended her workshops and benefitted. She has made many artists from the Transgender community and changed their lives.

She has been transforming the Corporate world for more than ten years with her deep and exceptional knowledge on Diversity and Inclusion of LGBTQIA+ community. She has been a DEIB Speaker who is a transgender rights champion. She has spoken at global corporations like Facebook, Adobe, Facebook, Walmart, Goldman Sachs, Google, Cognizant, Accenture, Saks Fifth Avenue, AstraZeneca, GEP, Moodys, ThoughtWorks, SAP Labs, Allianz Technologies, PhonePe, AGS health, Avantor, Zebpay, Guardian, IHG Hotels, Myntra, Micron, Mahindra Logistics, Deloitte, UKG, Synchrony and more.

She received numerous awards for social work, film performances and her literary contributions. On March 8th 2015, on women’s day, Facebook chose Kalki as one of the 12 inspiring women of the world who use Facebook as a community development platform for empowerment. In 2016, Kalki was nominated by L’Oreal Paris India as the ‘Woman of Worth’ under the arts category.

Her collection of poetry in Tamil titled ‘Kuri Aruthean’ (குறி அறுத்தேன்) was published in 2014. Kalki’s debut in Indian film world happened with ‘Narthaki’. She became the first transgender actor in India to do a lead role in a major motion picture.

Kalki has received various awards from many Indian states for her contributions to the transgender community. She has mentored hundreds of transgender persons and made many of them role models for other transgender youngsters. Today Kalki’s mentees from transgender community are doctors, artists, entrepreneurs, teachers and corporate managers.

As an artist and entrepreneur, Kalki has exhibited her artworks in India, Europe and USA. Through Sahodari Foundation, she offers free workshops for transgender people and promotes their artworks and supports their livelihood. More than 500 transgender people have attended her workshops and benefitted. She has made many artists from the Transgender community and changed their lives.

In February 2017, Kalki Subramaniam was invited by the Harvard University to speak at the India Conference. She received a standing ovation for her speech. In November 2018, she was invited by Schwules Museum in Berlin Germany to present her poetry, art and activism to special audience. In June 2019, she was invited by TransAmsterdam organisation, Netherlands and was conferred as the International Ambassador for life of the organization.

In June 2021, Kalki released her first English book ‘We Are Not The Others’ a collection of her poems, essays, art and monologue. In January 2022, the paintings of Kalki Subramaniam and five of her transgender students were selected to be displayed at University of South Florida, a true honour for the Indian Queer Community. In 2022, she received the prestigious Radhika Sen Memorial award from Plan India for the Red Wall Project she found in 2017.

In October 2022, she was invited to again to Harvard and to Yale, Cornell, Rutgers and University of Pennsylvania for speaking on activism, art and her literature. The same year she also won the Plan India Impact Award for her tireless work for the transgender community.

In August 2023, she launched her line of designer artistic wear Kals Apparel at the Bangalore Fashion Week. In November the same year, she was invited by California State University Northridge and Google Venice for speaking engagements in USA. In December 2023, she was appointed by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt of India as the Southern Region Representative of the National Council For Trans Persons (NCTP).

In January 2024, she released her third book (in Tamil) named ‘Oru Thirunangaiyin Dairy Kurippu’ (A transgender women’s diary) In February the same year, she was invited by University of British Columbia in Vancouver Canada to speak on Sexual Orientation and Gender Inclusion at their event Dean’s Distinguished Lecture.

Kalki continues to untiringly work for the rights of LGBTQI community and transgender persons inclusion at all levels of the society.
