Prashant Ruia, 55, a second-generation entrepreneur has been at the helm of decision making for the Essar Group for more than a decade. Essar Group has an asset base of $9.6 billion and revenues of $15 billion.

Passionate about green investments and innovation, Prashant is committed to building a sustainable ecosystem which is commercially profitable. A tech enthusiast at heart, he is adapting technology and building partnerships to position the Group as a frontrunner in fostering a green economy, balancing profitability with environmental responsibility. His mission is to build a value accretive future centric business portfolio at Essar.

Prashant is a member of the UK India Business Council (UKIBC), a board member in the US India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF), Young President’s Organization (YPO), and Confederation of Indian Industries (CII).
