Pulkit Khurana’s entrepreneurial journey with Battery Smart began with a keen observation of the challenges faced by millions of electric vehicle drivers, such as high costs and long charging times. Driven to facilitate change and boost EV adoption, Pulkit alongside his co-founder Siddharth Sikka created an innovative battery-swapping model that transformed the EV landscape by reducing upfront costs for EV drivers by 40%, eliminating range anxiety, and providing drivers with a seamless and convenient swapping experience.
Under their leadership, Battery Smart has achieved remarkable milestones. In less than 5 years, Battery Smart has successfully completed over 55+ million battery swaps, launched 1400 live swap stations across 40+ cities, and partnered with more than 60,000+ drivers. They have powered over 2,000 crore emission-free kilometers to date.
An alumnus of IIT Kanpur, Pulkit is a dedicated advocate for sustainable transportation, actively engaging with policymakers, industry stakeholders, and communities to promote the adoption of electric vehicles and create a conducive ecosystem for their growth.
