Deniz Kirdar True is Managing Director, AMEA at Svitzer Group, where she oversees operations across Africa, the Middle East and Asia, leading growth, safety and operational excellence in some of the world’s most dynamic maritime markets. 

Since joining Svitzer in 2014, Deniz has held a series of senior leadership roles, including General Manager, East Coast Australia, and Global Head of Operational Excellence, where she drove group-wide performance and transformation initiatives. She also serves as Chair of Svitzer Tanger Med and is a board member of Nakilat Svitzerwijsmuller, bringing deep regional and operational insight to complex joint ventures. 

She holds an MSc in Organizational Psychology from Birkbeck, University of London, and a BSc in Mathematics from Middle East Technical University, combining strong analytical expertise with people-focused leadership.
