Kunal Dalal is one of the most trusted voices at the intersection of AI, education, and family life. 

Kunal leads his own consulting practice, helping schools, districts, and organizations navigate the AI era without losing sight of their mission. From global keynotes to strategic advising, he works with leaders to move beyond buzzwords and root their AI strategies in purpose, people, and long-term impact. 

He also founded AI Parentology, a growing movement that helps families reclaim the home as a center of wisdom, storytelling, and meaningful tech use. His Lighthouse Homes gatherings offer a radically different model of community-based AI literacy—built around trust, joy, and connection, not fear or control. 

For the past year and a half, Kunal has served as the Administrator of AI and Innovation for the Orange County Department of Education, supporting 28 school districts and over 450,000 students. He is the author of The AI Parent and host of the podcast Squeeze the D.AI. 

Kunal earned his Master’s in Education from Harvard University and is a graduate of the Principal Leadership Institute at UC Berkeley. His path has been anything but conventional. He’s followed an eclectic journey that’s included founding the wooden headphone company Accidentally Extraordinary, advising Silicon Valley firms at the nexus of education and technology, and even running a short-lived Kolkata street food stall on an island in Honduras.
