Mr. Lim Ming Yan is a distinguished Singaporean business leader with a wealth of experience in both the private and public sectors. He is currently the Chairman of Changi Airport Group (CAG), having assumed the role in April 2025. In addition to his role at CAG, Mr. Lim chairs The Esplanade Co. Ltd. and NS Square Ltd., and holds directorships at Enterprise Singapore, Sembcorp Industries, DLF Cyber City Developers, and China Vanke. He also serves as Singapore’s Non-Resident High Commissioner to the Republic of Mauritius.

Mr. Lim’s illustrious career includes a 22-year tenure at CapitaLand Group, where he served as President and Group CEO from 2013 to 2018. His leadership was instrumental in expanding CapitaLand’s presence in China and growing The Ascott Group into a global leader in serviced residences. Prior to this, he was CEO of CapitaLand China from 2000 to 2009 and CEO of The Ascott Limited from 2009 to 2012.

Beyond his corporate achievements, Mr. Lim has made significant contributions to Singapore’s public service. He previously served as Chairman of Workforce Singapore and Singapore Business Federation, and has served on various boards, including the Housing & Development Board and Singapore Press Holdings.

Mr. Lim was educated at the University of Birmingham, where he graduated with first-class honours in Mechanical Engineering and Economics. He also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. He has been recognized with the Shanghai Magnolia Award in 2003 and 2005 for his contributions to Shanghai and was named Outstanding Chief Executive (Overseas) at the Singapore Business Awards in 2006.
